EVERY WEEK, PULL THIS OFF WILL FEATURE A WISHLIST OF THE DROOL-WORTHY THINGS THAT EVERYONE SHOULD BE LUSTING AFTER. LOOKING AT DIFFERENT PIECES OF IN-THE-MOMENT FASHION, IMAGES, ITEMS, AND MORE CAN HELP GET YOUR CREATIVE JUICES FLOWING; HOPEFULLY, THAT INSPIRATION WILL TRANSLATE INTO CREATING SOME AMAZING OUTFITS OF YOUR OWN. SOME THINGS IN THESE WISHLISTS ARE REASONABLE AND SOME ARE OUT-OF-THIS-WORLD, BUT A GIRL CAN DREAM...RIGHT?
A facialist recently told me to avoid sugar as much as possible in order to get rid of the tiny breakouts between my eyebrows and around my mouth and chin. As if I needed any more motivation to ditch my sugar habit; in merely four hours, Spring Break 2014 will be coming to its unfortunate close, meaning that the next extended break from learning will be summer break. Gasp.
Evidently every girl (and probably boy) I know is desperately working on their "bikini bods," as if the current body they have now is not suitable to be seen in a skimpy piece of water-absorbant fabric. Um, hello, you don't need whey powder to be hot shit. Nevertheless I have watched friends complain, count calories, and amp up their workouts; meanwhile, I eat basically whatever I want (no gluten or dairy allowed so candy is obviously a primary food group) and workout every day, ignoring some raised eyebrows from friends as I scarf down the entirety of every meal (CLEAN PLATE CLUB, YA'LL!). However, I heeded that facialist's advice for just under a week and my annoying little zits cleared almost instantaneously; obviously she was right, and now it is my mission to finally ditch my sugar habit. It's a rough life I live, I tell ya.
Seeing as I work in a candy store, it is veeeery difficult to lay off of the sweets. I warn you: stay away from Swedish candies... you will get addicted because they are JUST. SO. GOOD. But here is my effort in trying to commit to a habit and a change; I am extremely indecisive and often fall back on decisions because my over-active mind is filled with so many ideas that I can never focus and commit to just one thing at a time. Putting a mission down on paper, or on this very blog, serves as a personal commitment towards working to accomplish a goal.
So here I stand (slash write), giving up my dearest candy in order to stay pimple free and put in some extra effort towards that allegedly awesome "bikini bod" everyone under the sun is working towards. I am extremely comfortable in my own skin and see no exaggerated reason to change, but it will be interesting to see what the lack of sugar in my bloodstream will do for me. Now, enough of my rambling - we're all looking forwards to summer, bikini body included or not, so this Weekly Wishlist is dedicated to the beachy babes that make it all worthwhile.
